Due to growing excitement, Golden Brunch Restaurant hosted the event on September 28, 2025. Attendees had the opportunity to meet local Republican candidates running in the upcoming 2026 election cycle. The event provided citizens with an opportunity to engage with the candidates and learn more about their platforms. Mathis, who ran for State Senate in District 27, organized the event to bring the community together and foster open dialogue between voters and potential leaders.

Golden Brunch Restaurant, known for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere, generously sponsored the event. Their support demonstrated a strong commitment to the local community and the importance of active participation in the political process.

Whether registered voters or simply interested residents, all were welcome to attend. The event was open to anyone — not limited to Facebook users — who wanted to become more informed about their local government.

The enthusiasm surrounding the event reflected the increasing public interest in the upcoming election. With a record number of candidates vying for positions, it proved to be an engaging and informative gathering.

Attendees heard directly from each candidate as they discussed their platforms and answered questions from the audience. It was a unique opportunity for citizens to connect with those who could represent their district and influence the decisions shaping their community.
